arriba! lunch from qdoba!

i was kind of fickle today in choosing a lunch destination. in the mood for a fiesta and 800 margaritas, i ventured over to qdoba mexican grill. http://www.qdoba.com/

trying to stay on the "healthy side" i opted for tacos instead of a burrito because of the lack of rice. maybe it was a bad choice on my part, because now i'm feeling unsatisfied. damn those asians and their love for rice!

since i'm semi on-topic, i'm going to have to say it. QDOBA vs. CHIPOTLE? whats your vote?

oh mexico, how i miss you so. you and your amazing breakfasts and all inclusive-resorts with never ending drinks at the swim up bar. i would marry chilaquiles if i could :o)

Chilaquiles are a traditional Mexican dish. Typically, corn tortillas, which are cut in quarters and fried until golden, are the basis of the dish. Next, green or red salsa, or even mole, is poured over the crispy tortilla triangles, called "totopos." The mixture is simmered until the tortilla starts softening. Eggs (scrambled or fried) and pulled chicken are sometimes added to the mix. The dish is topped with cheese (typically queso fresco), and/or sour cream (crema), and it is served with a side of refried beans. Like many dishes, regional and familial variation are quite common.

Usually, chilaquiles are eaten at breakfast or brunch. This makes them a popular recipe to use leftover tortillas and salsas.

Again, looks kind of disgusting but SOOOOOOOOOO good. why do i like disgusting looking food? i need to learn how to cook.
