macaroni & cheese soup day!!

yes, it sounds kind of weird, but macaroni & cheese with beef is my (and sabrina's) FAVORITE soup from hale & hearty. it only makes its appearance every few weeks and when it does - we are SOOO there! i get the daily line up of choices emailed to me every morning so i can check :o)

like all the rest of the food i eat, it sounds disgusting but is super good. it is kind of like cheeseburger hamburger helper - not really a watery soup but more of a stew


today's email said that there was a new variation: chili mac and cheese - a combo of their beef chili and their macaroni and cheese with beef. so, we go to try it.


check out the line of everyone wanting to grab themselves a cup of that mac & cheese!



just kidding, they were all probably on line to get a sandwich.





there it is in all its glory!! i wonder who writes the menu on those boards every day. they must have really big chalk marks on their sleeves.





the final product! my thoughts - i liked the regular mac & cheese w/beef better. this one looks like chili with macaroni in it. though when you eat it you taste the hints of cheese.....it's not the cheesy goodness that we're looking for here.
