we started the night off in nanuet at the rojas residence - here's the proud mom, coleen & baby julian - with melvin's mom's famous empanadas. boy were those good. i think between me and reggie we ate 5 of them LOL
the showstoppers of the night were the cakes from carousel cakes in nanuet. http://www.carouselcakes.com/ the red velvet is on the "O" list. i usually don't really have a sweet tooth but they were definitely delish. i would highly recommend if you are in the area.

jetting out early, we then headed to meet up with jamie and chuck at veggie heaven in montclair. jamie is 2 weeks and 2 days older than me and chuck is her new vegan boyfriend that has the whole family talking. just kidding chuck, its not the whole family, just my mom LOL

i recommend the house special lo mein (has noodles that are kind of almost udon in texture), the general tso's chicken and the sizzling beef with black pepper sauce. if you're a skeptic i would suggest you try it. some of the items you can barely tell are not real meat. we took home a doggie bag to reggie's dad once and after he ate it asked if he could tell that it wasn't really chicken and he wouldn't believe us!

by the time we got there i think i had a little too much to drink and totally forgot to take pictures of the food. all i got were the candied walnuts that came with dessert - they were really yummy though!
however - i wasn't the only one that night that had too much to drink...(ahem jamie). but i won't say that you spilled your cookies outside the restaurant - darn, why did i take the pictures on your camera and not mine??
happy 30th to melvin and happy 25th to jamie. may you have many more wonderful days ahead of you!
