back-tracking to last weekend, the fatties club had their weekly meeting in honor of elise's 9th birthday. we went to our new dim sum place "dim sum dynasty" in ridgewood. we totally went overboard this time but it was of course, well worth it. the gem here is their soup dumplings! SOO good, when you bite into them they squirt out their "soup" - warning though, fragile and handle with care. only if you are the chinese waiter can you throw one across the table without it breaking.
our line up (besides the usual dim sum dumplings, sio mai, beef/shrimp in rice noodle, etc.) consisted of yung chow fried rice, beef chow fun, veal short rib thingies and chinese broccoli with oyster sauce. mmMmM my mouth is watering just typing this.
afterwards we stopped and got some gelato and walked around - ridgewood is such a cute town!
